David rose from obscurity by bravely going through the Philistine champion named Goliath, whom all in Israel’s Military feared. Though only a humble shepherd boy, David stepped up in religion, hanging down the intimidating nine-foot tall big with simply a slingshot and stone (1 Samuel 17).
